I will notate in each product description all materials used for your piece, and a "care" card will be included with your order.
Silver. My silver pieces are made from fine silver (99.9% silver), and, for this reason, are slower to oxidize than sterling (92.5% silver). Storing your pieces in an air tight place will slow down this natural process. If your silver does oxidize, polishing papers are included with your order. Use a light touch if your piece has an artistic patina. Afterwards, you can also buff with an old soft t-shirt or microfiber cloth. You can order additional Polishing Papers from Riogrande.com (8000 Grit Polishing Papers).
Enamel. The base for my enameled pieces is made from fine silver. Storing in an air tight place will slow down the oxidation. Polishing papers (see above) are included with your order if needed on any parts that are silver including the cloisonné wires. Do not submerge your piece in water. Do not use any harsh chemicals. The enamel is very strong, but it is glass and can chip if dropped or hit on a hard surface. Store your enameled pieces facedown on a soft cloth or lined jewelry box.
Glass "Lampwork" Beads. Even though all my glass beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for strength and durability, they are still glass, so treat with care the way you would any fine jewelry.
Gemstones. Follow the silver instructions above for the silver bezel setting. Do not submerge your bezel set gemstones under water. You can rub over the stones with an old soft t-shirt or microfiber cloth.
Leather Wrap Bracelets. Do not get wet. Avoid hitting the Swarovski crystals on hard surfaces.
Important: Small items can be a choking or other hazard. Please keep jewelry away from small children and pets. My jewelry is made from fine silver and sterling silver. If you are allergic to either, please do not wear my jewelry.
Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact me.
